So, hey there hive! I promise I am alive and well, and with honeymoon photos and stories to share!

Mr. A and I decided to leave for our big Greek trip the Monday after our wedding,马会特, giving us all of Sunday to recoup, relax and pack. We jetted off about noon on Monday and set off for a lovely 11 hours of flying (that,香港黄大仙救世网, trust me, was worth it). We arrived in Athens around 3 PM and were shuttled off to our hotel, the Athens Gate Hotel, which was in a wonderful location. With the weather beautiful, we took a quick stroll around town, then headed back to the hotel for quick nap. That flight surely took a lot out of us. We woke up just in time for dinner and to get a wonderful view of the Acropolis.

Can you tell we’re a bit jet-lagged?

After a night of enjoying a few drinks overlooking downtown and the Acropolis, we woke up bright and early to enjoy a Mediterranean breakfast before our grand tour of Athens. We visited a number of historical sites, but obviously the grandest of them being the Acropolis and Parthenon. The size of everything is just insane. You think you have an idea of how large everything is, but experiencing it in person is awe inspiring. Just crazy. I’m warning you—picture overload coming.

Our next few days in Athens were spent wandering the streets, eating in outdoor cafes, visiting a few other historical sites and just exploring the city at our own pace. It was such an amazing experience, and the hubs and I were excited to check this one off of our bucket list.

At the site of the first modern Olympics!

Mr. A at one of the many cafes we enjoyed.

The Temple of Zeus that happened to be right out front of our hotel while in Athens.

Me at the Theatre of Dionysus just outside of Acropolis.

Up next? Our time in Mykonos!

Are you considering Greece for your honeymoon?
